To WordPress or not to WordPress

To use WordPress or not to use WordPress for a business website is a question I’ve been asking myself all day. Certainly there are many factors that require serious consideration. For example, there is no doubt that WordPress is a great platform for many small mom & pop businesses, but is it a good fit for me?

Ease of use is one of the advantages in favor of using WordPress. I found it quite easy to set up and customize. This platform has a pretty large library of tools, plugins and themes that allowed me to customize my website with just a little difficulty. I also found that WordPress also has a strong community of developers and users who are willing to help with most technical issues. Probably the one thing that I found most appealing is that WordPress is very cost-effective. The fact that this platform is free to use with plenty of free plugins and themes caught and held my attention. This is definitely a great choice for any businesses that is starting out or simply on a tight budget.

One of the draw backs against WordPress is that I’ve been told it’s not most secure platform and that there may be compatibility issues with certain plugins. WordPress is also difficult to manage for businesses that require a lot of customization or the use of complex features.

In conclusion, whether to WordPress or not WordPress for a business website has to be decided on a business by business basis. While it’s definitely a great choice for businesses that need an affordable and user-friendly platform, it’s may not the best fit for one requiring more advanced features. For now I’m going to give it a try and see how it works out for my business.
